Sub:- FuIBright Distinguished Awards in teaching programme - 2009- reg.

Madam/Sir,

United States - India Educational Foundation ( USIEF) has announced 2009 Fulbright Distinguished Awards in Teaching programme fellowship for full time Indian teachers teaching any subject at any level (primary, middle or secondary) at school in India. During the programme distinguished teachers will work towards the completion of capston project of their own design. Additionally, the teachers may team teach and conduct occasional master classes as part of inservice training of teachers at local secondary schools. Upon returning home, teachers will be expected to share knowledge and experience gained on the program with teachers and students in their home schools and with their communities.

The details regarding the programme and application form are enclosed. You are requested to bring it to the attention of interested teachers teaching in Kendriya Vidyalayas under your jurisdiction. The last date of the submission of the application form is February. 15.2009. The application form may also be down loaded from the USIEF website - www.usief org.in. The application forms should be submitted directly to USIEF Fullbright House, 12 Hailey Road, New Delhi 110001. No application should be sent to KVS(Hqrs.) directly.
