Mrs. Ajeeta Longjam is a 2012 Indian Forest Service (IFS) Officer from Manipur. She did her schooling from Little Flower School, Imphal and KV No.2 Langjing, Imphal. Further, she completed her B. Sc. (H) and M. Sc. Zoology from Miranda House, Delhi University after which she qualified for CSIR-UGC NET with JRF. She is trained in Advanced Wildlife Management from the Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun and also, in Forestry from the Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy, Dehradun.
Having served in various capacities under the State Government of Manipur, she is currently under Central deputation to the Government of India where she has earlier worked as Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Forests at the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) before joining Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) as Joint Commissioner.
